Primary Responsibilities
• Oversee and maintain the SQF System, HACCP Plan, and all key food safety programs
• Serve as the primary liaison during audits, inspections, and interactions with certifying bodies
• Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with GMP, sanitation, allergen control, pest control, and chemical control programs
• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Provide routine updates to senior leadership on food safety system performance
• Train employees on SQF, GMP, and overall food safety standards
Experience & Education
Required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of HACCP training and exam
• Knowledge of SQF Code for food packaging manufacturing
• Strong communication, documentation, and Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines
• Ability to travel as needed
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in science, food science, or related technical discipline
• Experience with SQF, GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and quality systems in a high level production environment
Physical Requirements
• Ability to perform medium work, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Exposure to heat, noise, and industrial/manufacturing environments
• Visual acuity for detecting product defects
